Built at home, for three kids
KidiPass didn't start as a startup. It started as an attempt to end a daily fight over screen time — in one Israeli family's kitchen.
Elad, a father of three
A seven-year-old, a five-year-old and a three-year-old. All three want the screen, and every request turned into a negotiation. The tools on the market only knew how to block — and not one of them could say a single sentence in vocalized Hebrew.
So a first version was built for the house: a short question before an app opens, and answering it unlocks minutes. The fight over the screen turned into a short lesson. From there it grew into a product you can install too.
Every question our kids see, your kids see. That is a better filter than any QA process.
Not a war app
Three decisions that look odd until you know why. They are permanent.
The app can be uninstalled
There is no uninstall protection and no device-admin permission. If your child removes KidiPass, you get a notification and an email. A product that fights the child teaches them to work around it, not to trust it.
No PIN
Parent entry on the child's device is protected by a short arithmetic question a small child won't solve. Nothing to remember, nothing to forget, no reset screen — and nothing to read over your shoulder.
You can try it without approving anything
The approvals screen during setup can be skipped. Without them KidiPass still gives full lessons — it just can't unlock screen-time minutes. See if it fits first, approve later.
What matters to us
Hebrew first, not translated
Every question is written in vocalized Hebrew and read aloud. A child who can't read yet can still answer alone.
Curriculum-aligned
Content follows the Israeli Ministry of Education curriculum, from kindergarten through 6th grade. KidiPass is an independent app and is not operated by the Ministry.
No ads, no accounts for kids
Kids have no account, no email and no external identity. Their screen carries no advertising, and data is stored on servers in Europe.
Support from humans
Write to us and you get an answer from the people who built the product — usually the same day.
The company
KidiPass is built and operated by ILAN LABS in Israel.
